Overview

On complex events, technical risk rarely comes from any one supplier. It comes from the gaps between them: the venue, the AV company, the staging supplier, the streaming team and the client's own marketing team all holding part of the picture.

A technical producer closes those gaps, owning the technical plan and staying across the details that otherwise surface as problems on the day, from venue liaison and equipment specification through to crew coordination, run sheets, risk planning and the technical budget.

Why clients choose us

One point of accountability

A single lead answerable for the technical outcome, rather than responsibility distributed across several suppliers.

Fewer surprises on the day

Planning catches conflicts, gaps and unrealistic timings while there is still time to resolve them.

Coordinated suppliers

We hold the whole technical picture and keep each supplier working to a shared, confirmed plan.

Frees up your team

Your event or marketing team stays focused on guests, content and stakeholders instead of technical logistics.

Typical use cases

  • Large conferences and multi-day summits
  • Events with several technical suppliers
  • Programmes across multiple rooms or venues
  • High-profile events where failure is not an option

Frequently asked questions

Is a technical producer the same as an event producer?

Not quite. An event producer usually covers the whole event including guest experience, catering and logistics. A technical producer focuses specifically on the technical production: AV, staging, streaming, recording, connectivity and the crew delivering them.

Do we need a technical producer if we already have an AV supplier?

It depends on the complexity. For a single-room event with one supplier, usually not. Where there are multiple suppliers, several rooms, streaming or broadcast elements, or a high-profile audience, an independent technical lead usually pays for itself in problems avoided.

Can you work with our preferred suppliers?

Yes. We are happy to coordinate suppliers you already trust. Where we think a different approach would reduce risk, we will say so and explain the trade-off, but the decision stays with you.

How early should a technical producer be involved?

As early as possible, ideally at the concept or venue-selection stage. Decisions taken early about the room, the programme format and the technical approach are the ones that are expensive to change later.
